I am considering re-editing a couple of our popular snowplow videos, and updating the info. These were shot and edited in 1987 and 1988, and I would like to know when the branch lines around Stratford were taken out of service, and if anyone knows where I can find the disposition of the diesels that were in the video, mostly CN F7's, as well as CPR Alcos, and such. Thanks in advance. Greg Scholl Videos ![]() sales@gregschollvideo.com |

Greg, I can tell you about the subdivisions around Stratford, no problem! If you give me the loco numbers I may be able to find out their disposition. k5ahudson@hotmail.com |

Someone on another board suggested the Canadian Trackside guide, so I have emailed the fella involved with that. I haven't gotten that far yet, as to checking all the numbers. I do recall 9166, and 9167,9177 and perhaps there was one other on the CN. I definately would have to check the Alcos on CPR, but mostly what I shot was CN stuff. I know I shot the next to last plow run ever on the CPR Goderich Sub in 1988, as it closed later that year, as did many of the CN lines. One day there were literally 3 plows running in the area at once, and we got 2. The one we didn't get turned out to be the last Goderich on CPR. Instead we chased the CN to Owen Sound, then caught a CPR one to Owen Sound a bit later. Thanks for the help. Greg Scholl Videos sales@gregschollvideo.com |
