White Pass & Yukon # 69 was moved to the Shop of Mid-West Locomotive & Machine Works on Aug 4. The locomotive had been stored in the Denver area and was loaded onto 4 trucks for the move to WI. The # 69 is to be restored and returned to Skagway for operation on the White Pass. greenchili@tds.net |

The restoration of # 69 is well on its way. In mid January the boiler was removed from the frame and both were moved into the shop. The boiler has been cleaned and a boiler survey has been preformed. Repairs to the boiler have been started. The frame and running gear have also been receiving a good deal of attention with many new parts being made to replace worn out pieces. |
