I think rypn is a great site. On the other hand, Steam Central started out very strong with up to date news on steam and terrific photos. But last year it seemingly ran out of steam...and now its wheels have grounded to a halt. Calling Dr. Craft, calling Dr. Craft!! Please administer some Rx to SteamCentral.com! http://SteamCentral.com |

We must all remember that Mr. Craft's website, like RyPN and most others, is available free of charge to viewers, and done as a labor of love by those in charge. Personally, I'm glad for whatever information I can get from such sites. For that reason, we should all be happy that such information exists at all, myself especially remembering how difficult it was to gather same in the pre-internet days of L&RP magazine. ryarger@rypn.org |

Back when CPR 2816 was out here, I found John's site to be by far the best for getting detailed scheduling information; far better than even CP's own website. For what I think is supposed to be a spare time project for John, he does a great job. |

True, it was better when John was updating it monthly, but I still keep it in my favorites for it's links alone. Not to mention Jim Wrinn's list of servicable locos ... > I think rypn is a great site. Yeah, spare time is hard to come by these days. John, we miss you. Keep up the good work and come back to steamcentral when you have the time to spare. Anything we can do to help? mrcooltrains@yahoo.com |
