| Post subject: | New Hollywood Epic on theTranscontinental RR? |
I heard on NPR the other morning that Hollywood is making plans to produce an epic motion picture with huge big budget glitz on the story of the building of the Transcontinental railroad. I assume it will be an adaptation of the Stephen Ambrose book on the same topic. Count on CSRM and NSRM equipment to appear, as well as the Golden Spike replicas. Can anyone shed some light on this project? |

A John Woo film called "Land of Destiny" has been in development for several years. Last I heard it was being called "Men of Iron". Apparently the building of the transcontinental railroad is more or less a backdrop for the story of a Chinese immigrant working on it. SJHussar@aol.com |
