I arrived on site Sunday afternoon to find the parking lot full of vehicles, and the roundhouse crawling with a film production company. Unfortunately, no Knievel paying real money, just a production company out of Nashville shooting a music video for some C&W star I never heard of.
Our esteemed director seems to have given the film company unlimited rights to our site in exchange for a $100 donation. Given the guy that kept soft drinks available cleared a couple grand easy, and literally a couple dozen crew and hangers on, it seems we were possibly way too cheap?
Some of you museum guys have had commercial film work done at your places - do any of you have a price sheet and policy you would share?
Dave
lathro19@idt.net |

You might want to contact the Illinois Railway Museum. They have had a number of commercials and films made there, including "A League of Their Own." Should be a good place to start.
jftrolley@aol.com |
