Post subject:  Deep Sea Detectives Flimsie *PIC*
Pleased to see the flimsie about Deep Sea Detectives today! We hope we will be fortunate enough to be a part of the "Death on Lake Huron" episode. There will hopefully (if they haven't ended on the cutting room floor) be some great shots of the Pilot House interior and 1913 Storm/ Lake Huron Shipwrecks exhibit in our Main facility, as well as a lengthy portion on board the Huron Lightship with our satellite facility manager Wayne Arnold. We are getting ready to open a large exhibit in coordination with the Bruce County Museum in Canada for the 90th anniversary of the 1913 storm this October-December, so we hope this will bring a bit of GOOD publicity for us. Wish us luck!

The biggest United States Coast Guard website for retired and active personnel is Freds' Place located at http://www.fredsplace.org/ . Are you keeping them updated on all your nautical ventures ?? They would probably like to hear about the Huron and the Bramble plus it's a great way to locate former crewmembers and information.

I assume that you will be telling the story of the loss of the Lightvessel on Buffalo station? What other ships went down?

To keep this on a rail subject; did any of the Railroad Navy ships have any problems?

Also, I see that the Wisconsin Maritime Museum has added a picture of the forward engine of the Chief Watcham to their web site.
