Have been offered a what seems to be the remains of a standard gage 0-6-0 comprised of the bar frames (less cylinders and main rods and valve gear and guides etc), boxes, springs and wheels with siderods, a cab, and about half the boiler. It was apparently being converted to some sort of IC drive with a gearbox and chain drive to an axle.
As if that isn't bad enough, it was painted PINK. The poor thing rusts at Georgia Agrirama at present. Does anybody know the history of this locomotive? I want to find a reason to get excited about its preservation, but..........
Dave
