This website has videos documenting the steam locomotives that were dumped as rip-rap to prevent right-of-way erosion in New Zealand. Several engines remain dumped, but three ancient American-built 2-4-2s have been extracted and two are once again operable. K88, the 2-4-2 that was the first to be rebuilt, has since received a new welded boiler.
