Does anyone know if they ever published volume two of "Two Feet Between the Rails" by Robert C. Jones. I have a copy of volume I and wanted to complete the set if possible.
The good news: Yes, it was indeed published. The bad news: Very few were printed. It is my understanding that about 2,500 copies of Vol. 1 were printed and about 200 copies of Vol. 2. A matched set these days is likely to run you between $200-300, judging from recent ads/auctions.
Many years ago I had a gift certificate for a hobby shop and saw the two volumes on sale. The gift certificate allowed me to acquire one. To my eternal regret, I chose Vol. 1.
Talk about coincidence... I was just talking a few days ago with my brother on that topic. He's been looking for Vol. 2 for over 20(?) years. Now I know why neither of us has been able to find one.
