I read with great interest the C&LC list of equipment disposition in the below thread. Can anyone share a list of equipment owned by the Little River RR in Angola, IN? |

Herb: The Little River Railroad has not operated out of Angola, Indiana now for a number of years. Most recently they have operated out of White Pigeon, Michigan and, from what I understand, hope to operate again out of that location in the future. I believe that most of the equipment that they had in Angola was moved to White Pigeon but perhaps not all. Are you asking about the LRRR in general or only about what equipment they had in Angola? I was looking for a roster of equipment owned by the Little River RR at White Pigeon, MI. Can you help me, or anyone else? > Herb: > The Little River Railroad has not operated > out of Angola, Indiana now for a number of > years. Herb: I held off replying hoping that someone would come up with some more exact info. Since no one did, here is what I know LRRR has: 4-6-2 #110 originally built by Baldwin for Little River Railroad in Tennessee and eventually went to the Smoky Mountain Railroad (also in Tennessee) as their #110. 0-4-0T #124 originally built by Vulcan for Youngstown Sheet & Tube Company. Two Northern Pacific stock cars (used for passengers.) A GM&O (I believe) heavyweight combine. Two B&O (ex-BR&P) center cupola wood cabooses. A World War II Pullman Troop Sleeper converted to a snack car. A B&O center cupola wood caboose in poor shape (it is used I believe as a dormitory car for the crews.) I think there are one or two streamlined passenger cars but I cannot recall for sure. Hope that helps. Wish I knew additional details. Les Beckman (HVRM) midlandblb@cs.com |
