I heard on the radio this morning that several of the surviving trestles on the old Kettle Vly Ry ROW were burned down in the wild fires currently burning near Kelowna, B.C. They said either 3 or 5 out of 13 trestles were burned. A sad historical loss indeed.

Brett, I have to agree that this is truly a tragic loss. I hope that the group who has been working on promoting the trestles can find some assistance in rebuilding them. It sounds like they are becoming an ever important part of the local economy, so to loose them will be felt by many outside of the rail community as well.
