> Old and new engines at Crewe Works in the > UK, apparently taken in 1954. This was an official BR photograph taken 21st January 1954 outside the paint shop at Crewe works. It shows 92000 the first 9F class 2-10-0 which went into traffic on 5th January lined up with an ex LNWR Webb "Cauliflower" 0-6-0 No 58413 which had been condemned one week earlier after a 53 year career. (92000 was in traffic until July 1965.) jimlivesey@btopenworld.com |
