I need a set of arch bar trucks with 26" to 28" wheels. They will be going under the tender of Scott Lumber #15 currently undergoing an operational restoration at the Georgia State Railroad museum in Savannah. I thank you for any help.

We have tooled up to produce new arch bar trucks for our narrow gauge cars at Ardenwood, including new, cast single plate 24" and 26" wheels, (we cast the wheels in steel instead of chilled cast iron) new journal boxes and brasses (for 10 and 15 ton campacity.) The trucks we produce are very accurate replicas of California built swing motion narrow gauge trucks. We do cast parts for other groups.

Depending on what you are trying to do, you can easly make up your own arch bar trucks, ether by casting new parts like we do, or by dissambling a set of trucks for parts and making up a new correct set.

You might try contacting Steamtown. I know there were some arch bar truck-equipped derelict wooden cars at the offsite Tobyhanna storage once upon a time. I'm not sure of the size wheels or even of their availability, but its a shot in the dark if you're interested.
