As systems administrator for the network that hosts Milwaukee Road 261's website, I would like to apologize for the site's absence from the internet.

The server which supported www.261.com suffered a massive hardware failure this morning and is unrecoverable. A new server has been purchased, racked, and is being configured.

We have excellent tape backups (less than three hours old at the time of failure) and expect to have the site fully restored within the next day or two.

Sorry for the inconvenience and kudos to our backup administrator.

Regards,
Doug

Doug,
Any updated date for the return of the website? Some of the natives are getting restless.

Well the site was up on Saturday and is now back down. Here is a phone number to call to make reservations if the site does not come back up:
(651) 765-9812
The phone will be manned (personed) from 9:00am - 4:00pm
