Not sure of the date on this, and perhaps it's been mentioned before, but The folks restoring the Grand Trunk Western (later Ann Arbor) car ferry S.S. Milwaukee have received a $1.3 Million loan from USDA Rural Development to acquire a marina and motel. The dock space will allow a place to park the boat, while the adjacent motel and marina will provide some income.
