Of all the internet groups, this one is one of the best structured and most intelligent sites in all of cyberdome! So don't disappoint me, dang it!

I am part of a group searching for a specific 44-tonner, c/n 28502, originally Alexander Railroad Company #2 (Taylorsville, NC) to Coors Brewery (C992)in 1974,to Guyan Pipe & Valve Co. at Harrison, N. J., in 12-1979. But we lose her at this point. Can't find any internet records of Guyan now, and we are at a roadblock. Can anybody provide any more information beyond this point, or suggest other avenues of research?

Matt, you might try the New Jersey Department of State (assuming Guyan is domociled in NJ, otherwise the department of state in which that corporation was formed) for the history of the company. It won't tell you about a locomotive- but might get you back on the corporate trail.

Each states records vary a bit, I do know that Pennsylvania's are online perhaps NJ is as well.

Otherwise you might have a friend in Trenton who can go to the NJ DOS??
