Eric: I appreciate your message and pics of this very tragic event. As an officer and member of the Rockhill Trolley Museum, I want to express my sincere condolences to the members of the National Capital Trolley Museum. It has been many years now since our museum lost a trolley to fire and I can truly say from my heart how you folks must feel at this time. Words really are not adequate to describe your loss. I am very glad that no lives were lost and am also glad to know that the museum is ready to look forward. Again, our sincere and heartfelt thoughts are with all the members of the National Capital Trolley Museum. trolley@innernet.net |

So very sad. I was a member of NCTM some years ago and I know what a fine and dedicated group they are. This is not the first time that NCTM has suffered a loss due to fire. Many years ago the one-of-a-kind PCC "Silver Sightseer" was destroyed by arson. Alan Maples AMaples@aol.com |

My sincerest condolences. Please try to save the 1053, if only for a static display. She is too rare to scrap. > Images of the damage at National Capital > Trolley Museum, along with the text of their > press release, are now available in the > Briefs. sbs5cats@kc.rr.com |
