I think now that it is Washington & Western No. 72 (Standard Gravel Co.), a former Mobile & Ohio 4-6-0 that is now on display at Franklinton, LA. How is it doing today? > Captioned only 1963 near Covington. Any > ideas? ryarger@rypn.org |

Fairly good; lots of rusted through sheet metal, but looks like it has been repainted recently. IIRC, the side rods are off, but nearby. There was attempt to remove and restore this engine a few years ago, but the original owner who donated it to Franklinton shot it down. There is also a steam locomotive sunk in a gravel pit in the area.
