Ran across this discussion thread of part of an M&StL roundhouse standing at Morton (Morton, Illinois?). Anyone know more about it?

Extensive photo site that is mostly M&StL. There are photos of the Marshalltown diesel shop on this page, and older photos of the roundhouse are found somewhere on the site. Too many pages to go back through.

I'm just speculating here, but I'd guess it was shot some time in the fifties. (Maybe the early sixties.) The box cars all have roof walks, so it's clearly earlier than later. The grade seperated road interchange by the bridge approach is of a type that was uncommon previosu to the constructyion of the Interstate Highway system, so it seems unlikely to be any earlier than that. (Though not impossible.) A few of the automobiles in the foreground appear to have outlines consistent with the fifties, and none seem to be clearly newer. The two freights appear to be led by lashups of geeps, and there two locomotives that could be convered wagons of some sort, and nary a steamer to be seen, but the round house seems well kept. Neat picture. Anybody else care to do some photo analysis? (Maybe better than mine.)
