Can anyone tell me who is now operating the freight portion of the Llano, TX. branch upon which the Austin Steam Train Assoc. runs? Is the Longhorn Railway still the contract operator?

Austin Area Terminal Railroad is now the contract freight service provider for the Giddings-Llano line.

Nice update on the ASTA website concerning the cylinder saddle repair on 786. Any recent updates from Strasburg on the progress of fabbing a new one?

This week we should be removing the saddle and prepping to ship it north. Stay tuned.........
