As far as I know, there has been no rail operation since Ken Bitten's dinner train folded a couple of years ago. The freight business, operated by the Stewartstown RR, died long before that. Southern York County keeps trying to get industry into the area, but thus far there have been no rail-oriented business. Herb Harwood herbhar@yahoo.com |

The tunnel also had the hiking trail through it. Haven't heard anything about restoration of rail service. This was the only tourist RR I knew that had a bike trail beside it the entire length-kinda like they are planning to do with Western Maryland. randy.gustafson@westpa.net |
