engine? I've always felt she was a beauty!

A&WP 290 is going through a slow cosmetic restoration with an eye towards possible future operation under the direction of Bill Purdie. Running gear has been completed although the locomotive does need shoes and wedges replaced. Currently funds are not available to invest, especially since there is not a return on investment in sight (nowhere to run).

Attention is currently on the boiler. It is being stripped for UT.

Smokebox front was rusted out in several places and has been repaired. Smokebox dog studs need to be installed in the repaired areas. There are other areas of the smokebox that will need attention.

The locomotive may be viewed escorted by Museum personnel through the shop.
