Did anyone out there participate in the Ohio Central Photo specials this weekend? If so, how did they go? Where did they operate to/from? Did 6325 operate or is she still down with mechanical problems? How about 1293. Did she participate? Inquiring minds want to know! |

I shot the Sunday trip, and 6325 put on a fine show. The crew (on their own time) had done much brush clearing, and we had some really nice runbys. On Sunday there were some mid-day clouds, but we lucked out with nicely lit runbys during the morning and afternoon. Ask John Craft what his favorite runby of the day was...(it WAS a good one). train stuff Les@A-Trains.com |

And I shot Saturday--also a fine show. 6325 was gleaming, the sky was flawless blue, Mr. Jerry Jacobson, his steam department man Jason Johnson, and all their colleagues at the Ohio Central were wonderful hosts--what's not to love? It was the first time I'd seen a 4-8-4 in steam since I was a teenager--LONG overdue. eledbetter@rypn.org |
