The drive wheels, 4 new drive axles, and 8 new driving boxes have been assembled and the frame/boiler set back where it belongs. The GSMR has decided not to rush it back into service, but take the time to make sure that it is ready for a full 2004 season. Before it steams again, it will have undergone a near complete running gear overhaul. Has anybody seen the new paint scheme on the two GP9's that joinded the GSMR roster earlier this year? I believe the 711 and 777 will recieve a like paint job to the 1751 and 1755 in the not so distant future! The 1751 and 1755 are a bit better for visability at crossings. Ryan lima709@aol.com |
