IRM Freight Train

For those of you requesting a view of our recently operated photo specials of freight trains - - -

Thanks to Frank Hicks for removing any confusion about the ABPR archive. (See his reply posted on this site under the original thread.)

Follow his link, click on the date Sept 22, 2003. Four pics of the diesel powered freight train version (alas only 18 cars) are posted as images 77/179 through 80/179.

Very difficult to get the true impact without a clear long range view point, and a special lens which only compresses the one axis and allows the 1/3 mile long train to be captured as an image.

Such a lens might be a real money maker in the railfan photo market - if only it could be invented!!
