Onetime Wiscasset, Waterville & Farmington (two-foot gauge) depot at Albion, Maine. Wasn't this a tumbling ruin a few years ago?

Volunteers from the WW&F Railway Museum in Alna, Maine will be traveling to Albion on November 1st to spend a day helping out with the restoration of station and track. Anyone is welcome to come.

While the station belongs to the Albion Historical Society, at times it seems like it's their unwanted step child. Kudos to Dave, Phil, Carl, and others who have done what they could with the resources they have.

What amazed me was how far out of town the station is. I didn't know where the station was and only found it by chance. I asked at the gas station and they happily told me Albion never had a railroad!
