I just came home from the annual meeting of Delaware Greenways where one of the topics was the flood that destroyed 6 major bridges on the W&W. One of the guests was Del DOT's top man, Nathan Hayward who announced that Delaware was going to match W&W donations 10-1 up to 2 million dollars. The bottom line is the W&W must raise $200,000 in funds from the private sector. Then Delaware will kick in $2 million. There was a reporter at the meeting so there might be somethign in the Wilmingtno paper tomorrow.

Now back to the money. This will not totally cover all of the damage but there is a talk about FEMA covering some major portion of the rebuild as well. I don't know all of the details on FEMA and I am not speaking on behelf of the W&W. I am sure there will be official word out soon. What I can say is send the W&W your donation now as it will have a 10x impact.
