I took advantage of the decent weather today to take a motorcycle ride up to Bethlehem, PA and get some pictures of the former Union Station. A local medical organizaion (St. Lukes Hospital) has restored the building as an outpatient center. It looks beautiful, but it's sad, since there is no longer passenger rail service in the Lehigh Valley. The ex-LV main on the North side of the station is alive an well, but the ex-Reading Bethlehem Branch on the South side of the station is now gone. (Actually, the tracks may still be there under the dirt.) NS left the CP signal standing, but it is now dark. I took some pictures and put them up on a web page. Enjoy. JimE p.s. - In the picture below, you can see the signal on the left hand side, and the former Bethlehem Branch paralleled the tree line/ parking lot edge.
