Saw this on another list, sounds like the situation on the LNE is not as bleak and that maybe things will stay put.<p>read on...<p><p>Actually, this is the former Lehigh and New England roundhouse, turntable<br>and former diesel shop building, not DL&W.<p>Drove by there over the weekend, and it looks like they cut down the trees<br>in front of the turntable and roundhouse.<p>My father-in-law worked for the LNE for many years out of Pen Argyl. His<br>grandson now works in the former diesel shop building repairing trucks and<br>other heavy equipment. From rumors I have heard, the current owner would<br>like to restore the area to some degree.<br><br> MrPatchTown@aol.com |
