I was wondering if any of you in the narrow gauge world have a source for new type E couplers that are equivalent to what was used on the California narrow gauges. I believe these were refered to as 3/4 size??? Thanks! wsflco@yahoo.com |

In California the Pacific Coast and the Nevada-California-Oregon used full size couplers. 3/4 size couplers were used by the SPng (Mina to Keeler), the Nevada Central, the Eureka-Nevada, and the Nevada County Narrow Gauge. I believe from looking at photos that the Northwestern Pacific narrow gauge used 3/4 size couplers. Orange Empire Ry Museum recently obtained a couple of new 3/4 size couplers. I'm not sure what the source was. I will advise our ng equipment forman of this thread; maybe he will then make a post. Brian Norden P.S. You might consider posting this inquiry on the narrow gauge discussion board. Narrow Gauge Railroad Discussion Forum |

You might want to check with East Broad Top. They use a smaller coupler then the Rio Grande I believe they are 3/4 size. asholley@hotmail.com |
