Scrapping the high bridge

Of the Georgetown Loop in 1939. Do you suppose that any of these workers lived to see it rebuilt?

Colorado & Southern roundhouse in Denver. No. 60 is today displayed unsheltered at Idaho Springs and the turntable is stord dismantled at Chama. The rest is all gone and the site is now Elitches amusement park.

C&S 71 on the scrap train removing the South Park line. It is today displayed at Central City, Colo. and even operated briefly in the 1980s.

And here is a picture of 71 in those happier times in Central City. But the photo was taken in winter and I had the feeling things were winding down. Behind the combine is the Shay Nr 14. In the photo of the Shay, you can see the open smoke box of a third engine I didn't record the ID of.

I wonder if that is one of the two 2-8-0's from Guatemala Railway Co?
