I just wanted to put a note out to tell everyone that our group will be much more than just "The Lost Engines". While this will be an important goal for our group, we plan to touch on other railroads, like the C&W, C&O and one of my favorites, the 3 foot gauge South River Lumber Company. We invite anyone with an interest in any kind of rail preservation to check out the Society. There are plans in the works for a newsletter and then later a website as well. Stay tuned for more developments... One of the Goals of our Society is to Acquire a Depot for use as a storehouse of information and possible museum where diffrerent aspects of Railroading can be displayed.
