Post subject:  MX missle control car up for auction now.
The MX missle support car, a one-of-a-kind thing, disgused as an insulated box car, up for bid right now on the Government auction site. It's currently at $35.00. The auction closes 11/07/03. Is this something we need to preserve? I saw it a few years ago at it's current location at the Seal Beach, CA weapons station. It was never finished ie, the tracking and computers were never installed. They claim they want it to be dismantled on site, but there are still live tracks into the facility, so perhaps they would interchange it with the UP.

If nothing else the trucks would be worth saving they are rated at over 150 tons
