I skimmed the posts first tonight & then saw the brief on Dearborn Tower being saved. I couldn't believe no-one had commented on this.

This is great news!!!!

As scarce as these towers are, this sounds like a major preservation moment. Congrats to the folks at the Whitewater Valley RR! Sooo, does anyone have any photos they can post of this tower pre-1986?

I concur, this is great news and an awesome brief!

While a member of the Age of Steam Railroad Museum in Dallas I was pivileged to be able to participate in the preservation of Santa Fe interlocking tower 19.

Good story! And there are plenty of towers around, but few with their controls intact and the rods going out to the switches involved.

I hope this second part comes to pass, diamond and all of the hardware..
