I skimmed the posts first tonight & then saw the brief on Dearborn Tower being saved. I couldn't believe no-one had commented on this. This is great news!!!! As scarce as these towers are, this sounds like a major preservation moment. Congrats to the folks at the Whitewater Valley RR! Sooo, does anyone have any photos they can post of this tower pre-1986? hillmans@cinternet.net |

I concur, this is great news and an awesome brief! While a member of the Age of Steam Railroad Museum in Dallas I was pivileged to be able to participate in the preservation of Santa Fe interlocking tower 19. Santa Fe Tower 19 hkading@rypn.org |

Good story! And there are plenty of towers around, but few with their controls intact and the rods going out to the switches involved. I hope this second part comes to pass, diamond and all of the hardware.. ted_miles@nps.gov |
