The Smithsonian Institution has posted a superb case study by Stephen Lubar on the conceptualization, design, fabrication and installation of their wondrous $27M new transportation history exhibition "America on the Move." It is an excellent example of the thinking and process that goes into planning large exhibits (with transportation vehicles) in an era of dwindling resources. Go to the link below to read the report. I've noticed that posting links on this board as of late has been problematic. The above links do in fact exist; just copy and paste them into your search engine and they will come up. > The Smithsonian Institution has posted a > superb case study by Stephen Lubar on the > conceptualization, design, fabrication and > installation of their wondrous $27M new > transportation history exhibition > "America on the Move." Just a case of one too many http's. It happens if you forget to delete the "http" from the URL box before you copy and paste your links into it. Great sites! Thanks for the reminder. http://americanhistory.si.edu/onthemove/ http://americanhistory.si.edu/onthemove ... _study.pdf America on the move SJHussar@aol.com |
