Anyone have a recent photo of this engine, which I believe is the last extant standard gauge Glover 2-6-0?

The caption in the six-gun picture says 36 inch. Holly Hill unit was standard ga. Can't really tell from the photo, but it looks kind of small to be standard gauge. J jeff_acock@hotmail.com |

Holly Hill was standard gage as is the Glover in Ohio. After being a sign for 6 Gun, it rusted in front of a Florida restaurant for many years. Tne Glover 36" gage mogul I restored back in the '80s is on display in Marietta. BTW, the Baldwin 2-4-2 from Holly Hill is now under restoration in Savannah. dave irondave@bellsouth.net |

That was Holly Hill Lumber Company in South Carolina, not Florida. A photo of both engines is shown in Tom Fetters' book "Logging Railroads of South Carolina". The Glover 2-6-0 almost looks like a 3' gauge engine that was converted to standard gauge. Glad to hear the 2-4-2 is under restoration.
