Post subject:  Source of Davenport records?

For some years, the whereabouts of old records of the Davenport Locomotive Works have been unknown. Some sources say they ended up in Kingston, Ontario when Canadian Locomotive Company absorbed Davenport-Beseler. This link in Iowa may provide a starting point for those interested. It would be nice to find some DAvenport builders photos.

I think this must be so. A few years brfore clc. closed I stoped in to see them about some tools or parts and they told me theygot the Davanport and Porter spare parts buss. I don't know if they wanted all of the buliders photos or not. Someone in Canada may know who has the clc . records. You may also find the porters drawings. good luck bb
