Post subject:  passenger cars for sale
There is a group in New Jersey that is attempting to sell three ex-Great Northern passenger cars. These are all coaches that were used in Jersey Shore service.The cars are interchangeable and are in average condition. If anyone is seriously interested in acquiring these coaches, please contact me directly at kgjr1554@earthlink.net

The United Railway Historical Society (URHS) has a webpage with furhter information about these cars.

"The URHS is looking for buyers for ex-NJT, ex-Great Northern passenger cars Nos. GN 1215, 1224, 1223, 1229 built in 1950, Pullman Standard lots W-6880 & 6886 and equipped with D-22 disc brakes, last relocated in 2000. These cars are more or less complete. The interiors have walk-over seats and each car will have 80 seats."

Cars For Sale at URHS

While these cars were owned by URHS at one time, They are now owned by the Northeastern Railroad Historical Society.
The individual cars are as follows:
NJT 5313...ex GN 1215
NJT 5318...ex GN 1224
NJT 5319...ex GN 1223
NJT 5320...ex GN 1229

The Group is BROKERING the sale of these coaches for the URHS. I apologize for the confusion..the message was not clear when I was asked to make the posting.
