Jimmy Carter's hometown depot. I thought it had already been restored as a visitor center, but appears to be getting some work here.

I believe it is shedding its lead paint skin in favor of something a little less worrisome for the NPS folks. That was what I was told while visiting last May.

The NPS policy is to abate not just cover over lead paint, at my Park we are waiting for funds to do a small 19th century wooden building.

And we have spent lots of money on the ships, where red lead was much used and now we are slowly getting rid of it.
