This Flimsies piece helps to show just how disconnected the American public has become from railroads. It refers to railroads almost completely in past tense and even tries to explain what a rail yard is or was.. While I haven't seen Denver's Platte Valley in years, it definitely is in a flood plain, as anyone around in 1965 can remember.
