Post subject:  Lima shop switcher - 1937

Unfortunately, I think it's gone, like the Lima Works where it worked.

Of the huge LLW complex, 3 small buildings remain. An electric-generating plant is planned for the site, with some talk of a "memorial" of sorts to the Loco being set up in one of the remaining structures. Stay tuned.......BTW, there is a Shay on display in Lima, a mile or so north of the Loco, on Metcalf St., at the Allen County Museum. It is a small n.g. lokey that never left town, having toiled at a local gravel pit. The Museum is planning some major renovation projects, so don't know if the little Shay will get moved. Stay tuned....again...
