Post subject:  snow train weather good in Cumberland, MD

Went to Cumberland today (Sat) and chased the WM 734 up to Helmstetters. Just as the 734 got to the crossing, she stopped. I didn't know why and did not stick around to find out.

There was probably a good 3-4 inches of snow on the ground and they did not run the diesel prior to the run to clean off the rail. I only heard her slip one time as she was going through the narrows. There was a nice horn and whistle exchange between the 734 and a set of CSX units sitting at the narrows.

Any reports on Stasburg?
