About 10 years ago my father passed on the chance to buy a Cagney D, 3 riding cars, and 1500 feet of 16# rail off a family friend for the princely sum of $3,000 because he "didn't want to be bothered with it"?

He also didn't bother to tell me it was offered to him until after it sold for 10 times that. :(
