What is the latest on this Polish steam center? Do they still offer the live steam experience? Do any other Polish depots still offer it?

Superb stuff....Many thanks for posting the link.
Makes me want to head over there before its gone.
Jim Herron did some video several years ago here, and it was pretty cool. You could pay to run an engine I think, or maybe it was just cab rides. The whole place is a time-warp, and those images at night were awesome(in the link above). Nothing like the real thing for a great experience.
Thanks again for posting it.
Steamingly,
Greg Scholl

PS I never made it to Poland...but did get to Germany 3 times in the 1970's before the DB packed in their steam.

In 1979, I was an invited guest to Poland for a conference of world famous Polish scholars. We were warned in this communist country that photos of trains, bridges and industrial plants were not allowed. Nevertheless, I managed a few. The only steam we saw (between Krakow and Warsaw) were 2-10-0s on work trains. Both Warsaw and Krakow had trams. The Krakow trolleys were photogenic little 4-wheel affairs.

Only after I arrived did I hear of a narrow gauge museum in country. I probably couldn't have gotten there anyway since the conference sponsors had pretty well filled up my schedule.

On the return, I stopped in Wales for a week to photograph and ride the narrow gauge lines about which I later wrote an aritcle for "Rail Classics" magazine which appeared in their July 1980 issue.

The trade union "Solidarity" got rolling after my visit which brought about the country in which you can now take train photos without a lookout watching for the police.
