The Flimsies article on the National Railroad Museum's gift shop got me thinking, how many museums open their gift shops (or have mail order/online stores) to target gift givers this time of year? I believe the Colorado Railroad Museum does, any others?

Our museum is open on Saturdays year-round, including the Gift Shop. Lots of stuff to buy; come see us!

Boyd,

The Western Railway Museum at Rio vista, CA is open weekends and can take orders by phone or fax.
Numbers are on the web site: WRM.org
For you traction fans, there is a new (the first) book on the Central California Traction Company available. It was a major Interurban using third rail and some overhead until 1947. The museum has several pieces of equipment from the line.
