Post subject:  Back Shop window installation

Saturday morning, I'm driving into the shop complex at NCTM. I'm marveling at ACL 501 pumping up air on a five car "Santa train," when I come around the north corner of the Roundhouse and low and behold, there are windows in the side of the Spencer Back Shop. They are just ordinary windows, but they are beautiful. The old windows came out years ago but there was no money for replacements. Now the roof is done, the skylights are done, the brickwork is redone, and now the windows are going back in. All I can tell you is that it is a beautiful sight and if you've been before and wondered what the building looked like in the good ole days, here's your chance.

No word yet on funding for the interior, utilities and exhibits, but at least the shell has been saved.

Wonderful news, Jim! I'll look forward to seeing it next time I make it up your way. And good luck with the very ambitious plans for the interior. That will be something to see!
