How are repair efforts coming on the tornado-damaged F unit and three cars in Ladysmith, Wisconsin?

Bob,

Last news I've heard is that the F wasn't damaged, and the three cars are back upright with broken windows boarded up. The cars amazingly were not badly damaged, although if they were ever to be considered for operation again the results of the twisting of their frames would have to be looked at. Most of the damage from the tornado was cosmetic, and minor (bent grab irons, etc.). Unfortunately, during the uprighting process the contractor used the dreaded "fire wrench" to uncouple the cars to lift them individually, resulting in damage to the draft gear of the cars. The cars were gutted for work train service, so they had no interiors to damage.

Found a recent image of the cars. Looks like there may have been some roof damage also, as the cars have some roof areas tarped.

Found a web site (linked below) with more recent images of the cars. The damage appears to be a little worse than I had been told.
