They have done shoes for a couple of steam programs including the source which had the special order for the high temp synthetic valve oil produced last year which I sent to you. They can reverse engineer them if you don't have drawings and you can produce a reasonable example to work from. Cheaper if you have drawings but still some coinage , but isn't eveything for a steam locomotive.

They have been a good source for us for the garden variety AAR1B-C12 shoes. I believe the foundry doing the casting is somewhere in the Baltimore area, but they are warehoused and shipped from Seymour.

Here on the Fort Collins Municipal Railway, we made our own patterns and had Urich Locomotive Works in Strasburg, Colorado, cast them for us. We even supplied the Fort Smith line with brake shoes for their Birney.
