The Steam Railroading Institute's "Engineer-for-an-Hour" program will be available on June 26-7 and July 3,4,5,10 & 11, 2004. Either engineer or fireman positions are available, or both; aboard Pere Marquette Rwy. 2-8-4 No. 1225 and Flagg Coal Co. 0-4-0T No. 75, or both. Tuition ranges from $175 to $750 depending on the combination chosen. Participants must fulfill FRA requirements for student engineer licensing (vision and hearing), and be SRI members ($35/year).
