| Post subject: | Minor Fire at CSRM? |
The CSRM website is reporting that the Museum is still open after a minor fire at Thanksgiving. Does anybody know about this and what happened? Were any collections damaged? http://www.csrmf.org/default.asp |

Fire was suspicion in origin and was confined to the ticket booth area at the very front of the museum. The only artifact in the area was the Overfair 15" gauge steam locomotive...I do not know if it suffered any damage. The sprinkler system in the museum actually put the fire out before the fire department even showed up, and it's likely that water caused more damage than the fire did. jamoore@elko.net |
